The name of the Serengeti National Park is derived from the Masai people and literally means 'endless plains'. With an area of over 14,000 km² the park is the second-largest national park in Tanzania. The Serengeti is known primarily because of "The Great Migration - or The Great Migration.", also one of the seven African wonders. It is an impressive spectacle in which more than two and a half million animals travel distances of more than a thousand kilometers. Some herds of animals are more than forty kilometers long. A giant procession consisting of wildebeest, gazelles, zebras and many other animals that, due to the drought, roam in search of fresh grass and water. Vorige week Heli-ski trip gedaan in Canada via The Wildlinger & Last Frontier. We'll be back!
