Helibike Romania is a enduro mountain bike adventure that you won't soon forget. With a choice between your own E- or regular mountain bike or a locally rented  quality Full Suspension E-bike (Brand: Mondraker), we tear during 6 days through the beautiful, untouched Romanian wilderness. Bike tours with and without shuttles, a two-day mountain bike tour with overnight in the wilderness, bike park fun and as icing on the cake  2 helidrops. This trip has it all and is therefore the wet dream of every mountain biker! Sleeping arrangements range from a basic cozy guesthouse, to tent camp and closing we do in a desolate mountain villa accessible only by mountain bike or helicopter!

What the helidrops As far as we are concerned, with the help of a Eurocopter AS350 B3 Ecureuil helicopter deposited on the top of a remote mountain ridge, Where the fun can begin! Bikes in a cage with winch at the bottom of the helicopter, riders in! It is a unique experience In which you enjoy both a sensational bird's eye view on the mountain range as of the kick of enduro and downhill biking on the remotest mountainsides.

Comfort 80%: You usually sleep in comfortable accommodations.

Intensity 80%: You participate in an active trip that requires a good level of fitness. This means that you will exercise at least 2x a week and generally be active.

Adventure 80%: You trek around in an active outdoor program and discover a country from on mountain bike, but you can fall back on the necessary comfort and certain facilities.

Helibike Romania

Day 1: Welcome

We fly from Charleroi to Timisoara in Romania. Next, we will be picked up at the airport and taken to our accommodation, where we will be welcomed by our local guides. Here is a welcome dinner and briefing about the rest of the trip.

Day 2: Bike Shuttle

With our local guide today, we explore trails in Muntele Mic on the basis of Shuttles. We drive nice trails  with challenging downhill passages.

Day 3: Start 2-day

With the legs still fresh but warmed up, we fly right in! A 2-day mountain bike trek through the Transylvanian Alps immediately introduces you to the beautiful nature. We spend the night in a tent camp.

Day 4: End of 2-days

We break down our tent camp and set up our trip further until a little after noon. Then we will be picked up and brought back To our Pension in Muntele Mic.

Day 5: Bike & Mountain Villa

We do a biketour (without shuttles) and end in a desolate mountain villa, accessible only by bike or helicopter! Here we can enjoy the surroundings nice and undisturbed. We have the mountain namely, completely for ourselves!

Day 6: Helidrop & Mountain Villa

Using a helicopter we will be together with our mountain bikes dropped At the top of a beautiful ridge. A winch with cage under the helicopter ensures that all the bikes at once can. In function of the level of the group, the guide will determine where we dropped become. Once again, we end our tour in the mountainvilla, where we spend our last night in the desolate wilderness.

Day 7: Helidrop & Bikepark

Today we are presented with a second and last time dropped by helicopter For a crazy ride! Those with energy left over can go wild afterwards at the bikepark. Finally, we conclude this great adventure in style with tasty food and a party in the skylounge bar!

Day 8: Farewell

After a great Helibike Romania adventure, we will be dropped off at the airport and fly back home.

* The exact order of days, helidrop, and the mountains and trails we ride will depend on weather conditions and participants. The above program will give you an idea of what it may look like.

Helibike Romania

We are staying in different accommodations during this trip. On the one hand, we are staying in a pleasant guest house in the Muntele Mic ski area. This is a super cozy something where everyone immediately feels at home. Every morning hiking we from here towards the bikestorage from which we depart. The rooms consist of single and double beds.

In addition, we will stay one night in tents during the two-day period.

Finally, we also stay 2 nights in a desolate, rustic log cabin at The Middle of Nowhere. This log cabin, called the "Mountainvilla" offers views of the surrounding mountains and valleys and features a indoor jaccuzi with a view! Moreover, she is accessible only by helicopter or MTB. The accommodation is completely private.

Mountain Bike Level

Durf, condition and mountain bike experience in alpine terrain are required to participate in this trip. Steep terrain, single trails and root and rock passages should not be a problem.

Helibike Romania is aimed at every Experienced mountain biker looking for a challenge. The condition is hereby the most importantly. This must be a good fit to fully enjoy the trip. With a good basic technique and sufficient dare and perseverance is this trip achievable. As an intermediate mountain biker guess we this trip strongly recommend with a E-bike (and actually also for the advanced bikers, but they will not believe it until they have had the opportunity to experience it for themselves). These can be rented on site. Believe us, even with an E-bike you will still be seriously challenged

Guides

We work together with professional mountain bike guides who will ensure that you will feel on top and amuse during the helibike Romania. In addition boost they also your mountain bike level and skills. The focus of this trip is on riding spectacular and challenging trails in a magnificent setting.

Insurance

Finally, we ask each participant to provide a travel insurance to be taken out for the entire period of the trip. An example is short-term travel insurance with Allianz or KBF. Call and email your insurer in advance, explain what you will be doing and make sure you have a good understanding of what all is covered and what the exceptions are! If required, we will advise you on how to properly obtain the necessary insurance.
