Day 3: Ala Archa
Today we head to The Ala-Archa National Park. This alpine national park is located in the Tian Shan Mountains of Kyrgyzstan, about 35 km south of the capital Bishkek. It was founded in 1976 and currently covers 16,485 acres. With mountains up to 4895m high, a 20 glaciers and a beautiful canyon in which the Ala Archa River stream is worth walking around here! We spend the night again in Bishkek.
Day 4: Konorchok Canyon
We leave in the direction of Karakol. A long drive with some nice stops along the way. So we stop in Tokmok, known among other things for the Burana Tower and take a nice walk in Konorchok Canyon. This particular canyon consists of a desert landscape with colored reddish-brown rocks in various forms. Those who wish can also take a refreshing dip in the Issyk Kul more, it largest more of Kyrgyzstan. We spend the night in Karakol.
Day 5: Karakol
We are taking it easy with a free morning. In the afternoon we are going to kayaking after which we have the sunset admire from the beach. We spend the night again in Karakol. In other words, we enjoy a quiet day before the start of our 5-day trek.
Day 6,7,8,9 & 10: Five-day trek
During a 5-day trekking we walk from Jeti-Oguz to Altyn Arashan. This beautiful trek will take you through breathtaking nature and give you a taste of life in the mountains. We cross the Teleti Pass (3800m) over, move on to the AlaKul lake, the most beautiful lake in Kyrgyzstan, and swimming in the Altyn Arashan hot springs. We spend the night in tents provided by our guide. Camping Equipment should self-supported to be since we are making this trek without porters. The food is already included and therefore do not need to bring your own. The last night we sleep again in Karakol.
Day 11: 4×4 Self-Drive & Enilchek ghost village
Today we give our legs some rest after last days trekking. But we are certainly not sitting still! We divide ourselves over several 4×4 UAZ Military Vehicles which were still being used by the armed forces of the Soviets. With this, we do a Self Drive and combine both gravel as off road pieces with destination Enilchek. And everyone gets a chance to get behind the wheel once! Enilcheck is a ghost village, an abandoned mining village where during the time of the Soviet Union gold was mined. The journey there takes you through picturesque landscapes and the road occasionally provides a adrenaline rush. The ghost village in turn provides drama in the desolate landscape. Then we will drive the same way back to Karakol where we will again spend the night.
Day 12: Horseback riding Kyzyl Suu
Who says Kyrgyzstan, says horses. You see them everywhere and just as we learn to ride a bicycle in our childhood, so the children here learn to ride horses. We therefore take one day hold the reins yourself for a beautiful guided horseback ride at Kyzyl Suu. Not a fan of horses or horseback riding? Then today you can just take a take a day of rest or a walk nearby. We spend the night again in Karakol.
Day 13: Fairytale Canyon, Salt Lake & the Eagle Hunters
We leave Karakol and drive to the Eagle Hunters! Before we get to this new highlight of the trip, we explore Fairytale canyon, a magical place hidden among the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. This canyon consists of red rock points rising from the dusty brown desert earth. In addition, we stop at Salt Lake, the small Kyrgyz brother of the Dead Sea. As an apotheosis, we end at the Eagle Hunters. We encounter a centuries-old Central Asian tradition of hunting, where the hunters or "Berkutchi" with the help of the Golden Eagle (Golden Eagle) or "Berkut," on horseback and armed with bow and arrow, hunting both small and large game. An incredible encounter that will stay with you forever.
Day 14: Songkul
We drive on to Songkul, a large freshwater lake located on approx. 3000m height. Here we go hiking and those who want can have a refreshing dive take in the lake. Overnight we do in traditional yurts on the edge of the lake.
Day 15: Bishkek
We conclude this wonderful trip in Bishkek where we pay another visit to Osh Bazaar and celebrate with a nice dinner.
Day 16: Home

We hebben een heerlijke ontspannen reis gehad. Alles was goed geregeld. We had a great time with the wildLinger in Karakorum Pakistan in summer 2025. The overall preparation and fitness of every participant was outclass. Vorige week Heli-ski trip gedaan in Canada via The Wildlinger & Last Frontier. We'll be back! Amazing trip with awesome tourguides and great local food!
